1) Contact us during the day if you suspect a problem with your horse, even if you’re not sure you need a vet; we can help with that decision.
2) Move your PM feeding or night check a little earlier so that you can call us sooner if you suspect something isn't right with your horse.
3) Have an emergency plan in place to be able to haul your horse if needed.
4) Ask your veterinarian about keeping certain urgent medications on hand.
5) Learn how to check your horse's TPR (Temperature, Pulse, Respiration).
